Free forging refers to a workpiece or blank obtained by forging and deforming a metal blank. By applying pressure to the metal blank, it can be shaped and deformed, and its mechanical properties can be changed. Forgings can be divided into cold forging, warm forging and hot forging according to the temperature of the blank during processing. Cold forging is generally processed at room temperature, and hot forging is processed at a recrystallization temperature higher than that of the metal blank.
Open forging refers to the forging method in which metal materials can be freely deformed according to needs without the use of molds and templates during the forging process. It is highly flexible and can manufacture products in a variety of shapes, such as shafts, gears, nuts, bolts, connecting rods, brackets, etc., with a wide range of applications to meet the manufacturing needs of a variety of industries. Compared with the traditional forging method, open forging has higher production efficiency. Because traditional forging needs to manufacture molds and templates, the time and cost are relatively high, while open forging does not need to manufacture molds, but directly uses forging equipment for forging, which greatly improves the controllability of production efficiency and production costs.
